Can sat nav on D4 2010 model, be upgraded to 2012 spec?

If there is an update available then yes of course it can be updated.

The downside is that unlike the D3, the D4 sat nav file is stored on a hard drive which means a visit to your dealer fo any updates.

I think this update can cost up to £200 Shocked

This question has been asked a few times already, and what I think everyone wants to know is if the 2010 Navigation can be upgraded to the 2012 spec including the 2012 user control system (completely different from the 2010 system on the screen) or if it is only the maps that can be updated.

Given that none of the technical people have responded in the affirmative, I am assuming it is only the maps that can be updated, I shall soon hopefully find out in the next couple of weeks when mine goes in for it's service! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Well Censored me. Service done, but "I'm sorry sir, we can't update your Navigation because the machine used to do it is not on the premises today", this despite being arranged for some days!

Probably means a trip up to Northern Ireland to get this most simple of jobs completed!

Has anyone else on this forum managed to update their Navigation yet on a D4? 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
