Don't bother with Land Rover Sat Nav - TomTom is much better.

TomTom - multiple vendors - use Google to find best price when you have decided on what you want.
I fixed mine to the windscreen using the TomTom mount.

I had the same desire a month or so ago, I saw Ian's post got inspired as others have, [who I all thank], purchased sceen and dvd from ebay with a tow hitch [the tow hitch came with the deal]. required 3 looms which I retrieved out of a breakers HSE. Then followed the thread, hey presto all's good, need to get the ccf files updated, the whole job so far has been so rewarding.
