Sat Nav and Radio Screen Illumination

Guys,

Someone posted the following in 2005 and there were no replies.
I'm experiencing the exact same problem and the only way it they go off any quicker is by putting the key in the ignition and turning to position 1 and then off again which is a royal ball ache.
Any advice appreciated.
Thank you

"Anyone know please whether the 'timeout' is adjustable? When I unlock the car, and touch nothing in the car, the LR emblem appears on the satnav screen and the radio illuminates (but isn't on as such). When I lock the car, both stay on for about 6 minutes - not ideal if you are parking somewhere where you don't want to draw attention to the car or the toys in it, plus it's a (minor) wasteful draw on the battery"

That is not a problem... that is standard/normal on a Disco(3) with a big screen...

i have a D4 screen fitted in my D3, it does the same..

would be interesting though to shortening that time.....
 Best regards
Harold

Sorry - 'problem' is probably the wrong word, its more an 'annoying issue'

If anyone knows a way of reducing the time, I'm all ears .... Smile
