Hi all - quick question:
If I buy a 2009 Sat Nav disk, what else will I need to do to my LR sat nav to update the system?
Just wondering.......

Can you input data on the move out of the box or only with that hiddenbutton and code entered?
if option 2, you will loose this unless you also... (copy past from another thread..)
"Your car will need to see the dealer to change information in the identification file of the car. (this is where use while moving is generally allowed or disabled)
On the actual disk there is an update for the SATNAV equipment (and only the equipment, not the car setup !!!) to allow the input."

Was the radio switched on? Don't know if it would just do the system update silently if the radio was already off?Bodsys Brake Bible

I recently installed the latest disk and it took about 10 minutes to update, during which time the screen was blank with an 'updating' message. To be honest I can see absolutely no difference. Aren't there any cosmetic changes like new backgrounds, etc?? What a rip off!

I believe there are some small differences in the menu's. Like cancelling sound etc. but I don't know ecxatly anymore and can't check because it doesn't go back to the old software if you put an old disk in.Roel
