SatNag woes MY16 Landmark

Folks' D4 Landmark was picked up today but on the 70 mile drive today the SatNav was not playing nicely. Before we stopped for lunch (few miles south of Ludlow) it was working fine. After the pub it was not. She (Suzzie SatNav) would only say "refer to map" when voice instruction button was pressed, not a peep out of her otherwise (voice instructions enabled & volume). The map was also way behind the location and usually stuck in one place. Then about 500m from destination it sprang into life and she guided the last little bit perfectly.

Any thought/experience of this? Back to the dealer or any button that can be pressed to banish the ghosts in the machine?

TIA

D

There is an icon to press for "reset" or "restore all settings" or words to that affect. I think you'll find it by going into sat nave menu and settings then maybe other. Sorry I can't remember, without looking at it. You'll find it easily enough though.

I'd try that, then set it up again to your requirements. Thumbs Up

The guidance voice on mine has recently gone much quieter, I'm going to have to RTFM to see if it can be raised back to how it was, as it's not obvious (to me anyway). It's nothing to do with the volume of music etc. that I'm listening to.

Sounds like it lost the stat signal, usually pretty rare occurrence, though thick cloud cover and humidity can still mean stats are lost.

If a route is already entered then it will do its best to guess where you are, so not accurate by any means, if no route set then it will do nothing until signal found as it has no idea where it is.

They've tried re-entering the destination and return to default settings, all to no avail. The system is working fine on the drive so they will see how it behaves next time they are out. Thumbs Up

My satnav didn't work from new, my16, antennae wasn't connected or came loose, if you have a gps symbol with a line through it you may have lost your 'aerial'.

SWMBOs D4 booked in at the Stealers to have the SatNav looked at. It fails to allow you to enter a destination just returns to the map after a long wait. Audio controls locked the other day too. Let's see what they say Yawn Yawn Yawn

Try turning the volume up whilst the sat nav is talking, I'm pretty sure that's how I did it on my MY2015 Thumbs Up
