I think you have to go into settings and turn off the 'Safe' mode Neutral

Best check with your Dealer as mine was already set up. I was basing my assumption of a 'safe' mode as thats how my Garmin works on my bike. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

its looking as though it is an oz spec function on the nav. Mad my quest will continue to find a way to disable it. may have to contact LR oz.

DiscoDC,
good luck with LR oz, my D4 will only raise once then takes over 2mins to raise (or longer if comp o/h)
dealer could not fix (had no idea ) LR oz said there are others that do the same so that is spec for them,
when I said there are others that don't raise slowly, was told only talking about spec on my car, thats customer care LR stye for ya.
To answer your question LR told me sat nav on the go was not spec (safety), but they also told me global close was not spec, seems that AP may fix that.
The D4 is an awesome car on and off road, in a league of it s own,
what a shame after sales cann't keep up, or atleast try to
Cheers Ken
