Hi guys.
Does any one know if it is possible to upgrade the basic satnav (as on the SE) to the premium satnav with offroad functions (as on the HSE)?
Thanks
Andrew

I think it has to be ordered from new like that - but the offroad functions are not really up too much . I rather run a seperate GPS with Tracks for Africa loaded

Thanks Heine. I thought maybe it was a software upgrade (?!). It would be nice to be able to enter GPS co-ordinates as a specified destination. I'll investigate the separate GPS unit.

Can you not enter lat/long on the standard nav? It's not immediatly obvious, but on the premium nav anyway, when you go to destination entry, there is actually a second page with more options, one of which is lat/long.
I think it's possible to add TMC to the standard satnav, but I don't think it's possible to add the 4x4 info and offroad nav. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!

Thanks bkehoe!
I'll try that later on the way home. I may easily have missed the next page on the destination entry.

The Lat/long input will work, but only if you have the base-map, ie. in our case only in South Africa. Outside the map area, you have no functionality except to know your own position.
