SCANGAUGE

Has anyone fitted a Scangauge to their TD D3 Question

(See www.wooders.com.au)

Looks like a handy gadget Smile

Nothing come up with a search of this Forum

Never seen one. So much information, would not need it all but interesting, clearing codes etc would be good especially if it stops the suspension droping in limp home mode.
Is it compatable with the D3 computor ? Does it plug in the socket under the steering wheel ?

Hi SKP,

Ask 10 For Cash......he should be back home next week.

The product site gives no clues to actual compatibility or the dangers
of messing with the D3 Canbus system(a minefield).Fits all--means nothing!

I couldn't see a pdf installation download that stated the device
wouldn't alter code lines and stuff your computer settings.
You would be braver than me!

Cheers ,

Neil.

For all the info go here:
http://www.scangauge.com/products/
Compatability list says all except Lotus Elise...which is interesting considering it's a toymotor in there

Hi

I have one and it is compatible, the only issue is that it gets all basic data but not into subsystems and fault codes.

I got it cheap from a guy who bought it for his prado then discovered Australian spec Prado were not compatible.

Not bad for £85 plus postage...

Yes,

ODB port is at the bottom edge of the dash to the right of the steering. Trip computer works fine with all readings plus otehr like exhaust gas temp etc.

I'll get a list this evening for you.

Very interesting device.
Am not interested in the DTC function but things like the trip functions may well be quite useful.

Hi Sorry for the delay, there was a lot more to show than expected, I've scanned relevant manual pages and some unit picture up to my gallery. Have fun. Chawton White
