... And the disco was just fabulous, and averaged 32.6mpg on the trip, which is fantastic since my trip around Mull was mostly done in 2nd and 3rd gear !

In Scotland are there any different laws about stopping in a layby with a caravan to do a bit of wild camping?

I fancy a road trip but would like to be able to stop off for the odd night somewhere away from the normal caravan sites.

As I understand, when wild camping you need to be 100m from a public road.
Also you need to be aware that all land is owned by somebody and whilst most tolerate wild camping some will not.
Key is 'to leave exactly as you found it'
BUT, parking up for an overnight in a lay-bye with your caravan is not wild camping and as you're motorised, constabulary will ask you to move on to a local caravan site.
