I have a early 2006 TDV6 SE Auto. I has a groaning front diff, the EPB is not working, the torque converter is juddering and just today, the suspension red light came on for the second time in a week and I had to drive home on the bump stops. It's done 162k.
It's already cost me nearly a grand to get it through it's mot in September including new read upper and lower suspension arms, then these things started happening. I need a car so this one has to go.
So, it has no value as a trade in or to sell, but there are one or two scrappage schemes around which mean I might get 2-2.5k for it.
However, what about stripping it to sell the parts? I have a secure barn that it could be stored in, I don't have that much time to strip it myself. but could offer a dry place for someone to take the parts of themselves.
Any thoughts anyone? Is there a good market for second hand parts?

If there's nothing wrong with the engine then that should be worth a bob or two.
Probably rather more than the cost of buying something else that would pass the 'scrappage scheme' benchmark...I've always assumed the 'scrappage scheme' when it's not Government money is basically normal negotiating margin anyway. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
