Seatbelt Boing
I do not condone driving on the highways without a seatbelt whatsoever but SHMBO had some items on the passenger seat the other day and the BOING for no seatbelt connected on that side drove her crazy. I found the following on the RRS Forum.
"Sitting in the driver's seat with the ignition on and the engine not yet started, connect and release the driver's seatbelt nine times to disable the seatbelt audio BOING, after the 9th connection a chime will sound to confirm the changed setting The warning light will remain on if you attempt to drive without connecting the seatbelt but you will not get a BOING. Carry out the same procedure to re-enable the BOING.
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU INTEND TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT YOUR SEATBELT CONNECTED niknok

Not that I would...... but why not? isn't the warning light enough or are we now sufficiently devoid of commonsense that we need nannying to the point of insanity

Did mine last night. Kids are always great at belting up (if only through the safety mechnism & not their mouths!) so don't really need this.

You can turn the radio on without the key being in the ignition, just press the on button. I can't remember exactly how long the radio stays on for, I think it is about 20 minutes.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold
