I'm with Paul, there is no legal requirement to lock guns away with in a vehicle. As long as you take all reasonable precautions, such as not leaving the weapons on view and locking the vehicle when unattended then no worries The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Cheers for the reply guys, I'd just like that extra security, despite the guidelines, if your car is broken into and the firearms taken, the police dont tend to say its ok, you locked the car, thats fine.... they tend to be a little more edgy! Also fed up of carrying into hotels for the night, and all the questions etc etc. Just think it would be less hassle all round and piece of mind. Also if my gun was stolen the night before a competition I would be pretty miffed!!
Looking into it a bit deeper I see the safes are secured with 3 bolts and brackets into the boot floor, so easily removable. Will have to have a looksy under the carpet in the boot later on. www.Bitter-sweet.co.uk

Alternatively, will they fit in the hole that is the 3rd row footwell? I leave a load of luggage straps in there and just have to remember to move them before I use the 3rd row. Renny Thomson

Only shoot game I'm afraid. I live quite near to Southdown but haven't been for years. I started by shooting clays when I was 14 (many years ago ) but find so much clay shooting now is very unnatural so I don't go in for it. Unfortunately too many people treat game like feathered clays too Sorry rant over! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

You've obviously missed the point of that you tube vid,
those are not weapons installed on the trucks, but merely hedge trimming implements for when you are going on a rece, for overgrown lanes etc
these implements are much more eco friendly than using polluting 2-stroke engines
although lead emmisions can be high!

Mythbusters used one on the 'shooting fish in a barrel' myth. Cut it in half and completely eviscerated the fish. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
