sensitivity to road camber etc

My D3 seems to much less stable since dealer work on the car. It seems to twitch around a lot more and follows 'tramlines' in the road or cambers much more. If I let go of the wheel at any point (on a private road of course Whistle ) it veers off to one side (normally the left)

I guess a four wheel alignment needed? I don't remember it being like this in the past, the tyres are all bang on correct pressure. On similar roads, the freelander 1 courtesy car I had last week tracked nice and true.

Any advice (apart from change dealers...)

I had a part replaced on the steering column about 2 years back which put the steering wheel off centre, and they replaced some suspension bushes recently. They did do a alignment then, but it didn't appear to help.

Or am I just being a fussy Censored Confused

Any chance your tyres were not put back on the same starting corners? I.E. Original front two that have worn more than the rear ending up on one side making rolling diameter of one side of the car bigger than the other?

I'd bet in both cases the alignment done at the time now needs re-doing, the new bushes have probably bedded in and moved the alignment slightly. Assuming the original alignment when the bushes were changed was done correctly of course.

I wouldn't take a vehicle back that didn't have a straight steering wheel. It indicates the rack is not centered (assuming all was correct before the work), consequently you have different geometry each side of the car when trying to travel in a straight line.

mines a whole lot better once I put MTR's on, It used to wander into the truck ruts something terrible, now it's a lot more solid and stable.

have to admit mine has never suffered that after bushes, lower wishbone replacements. However dealer does put some interesting tyre pressures on it that do really screw it up? They tell you it is 32 but when you check it is 45 Shocked

Its sensitivity to tyre pressure variation is quite marked on its road tyres.
MTR's don't affect it as much having driven on a flat for while once Embarassed
end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
