Service Action Q561 - Windshield bond - 2015/16MY's only

Surely after building the D3/D4 for 10 years, you would expect them to be able to have refined the windscreen fitting My D3 Build Thread

Got this recall done when my D4 was in for its first service, this is how it came back!
I can just about accept the service cost, you go in with your eyes open but when you get this it leaves a bad taste☹
Oh and the battery cover was not replaced, it was just left lying on top.

It can be because of a number of things, glass at minimum tolerance, edge trim at minimum tolerance,
Or the direct glazing bead May have had air bubbles in it, so constant bead would be difficult. A
As I recall, the edge trim used the direct glazing to bind it in Place, could have been high humidity and the pu went off quicker than expected.
You would not believe the issues we originally had with the pu screen sealer....Owner of a 2010 Discovery 4 XS.

I worked for another car company and as a previous member mentioned, this problem can be caused by all sorts of process failures. Once heard of a sunroof being sucked off the top of a car at speed on the autobahn due to poor mastic adhesion...
