service advice in the south west?

service advice in the south west?

We have owned our 2010 d4 for a year it is now due a service I am not keen on taking it to Yeovil LR as A they have not been able to fix an on going "engine systems fault code" and B they want £592 to change the oil and filters Shocked

Does any one have any recommendations for servicing in the south west Dorset / Somerset / Wiltshire area?

There's one in Salisbury, R&E Landrover an independent that knows his stuff.
He changed my front brake pads and discs for 2/3rds of the price quoted by the other Landrover dealer in Salisbury.
All Landrover spares are the same trade price as elsewhere but his labour charges are much more reasonable.
The guy running it used to be the chief mechanic at Ottons for several years and moved when Ottons was taken over by Westover.
He is also a Landrover enthusiast himself.

I rang R and E in Salisbury they seem good rang back when they said they would know there stuff they will use genuine LR parts and are a lot cheaper than main dealer.

Ill ring a few others to see what they say but as Salisbury is only 30mins from me sounds like a good shout.

Another option may be Evans Garage at Crossways. Speak to Nick and tell him Al from the forum recommended him.

If you are only half an hour from Salisbury, I would definitely recommend R & E Landrover.
They have all the latest diagnostic kit and some.

Seems there are a few options other than main dealers quite local so thanks for all the recommendations.

Just to update this I ended up getting it serviced @ R&E in Salisbury as the wife wanted to go shopping there at the same time Rolling Eyes
Any how cant fault the service from the guys there very good and also gave good advice.
Highly recommended
