Service Schedule

I have seen in the downloads available on the Disco3 website that there is a Service Schedule download for the D3 for 'Rest of the World' that indicates 6 monthly services as O A O B O A O B etc. O being an oil and filter change only.

I note in the Australian Service Book that the 6 Monthly services are A B A C A B A etc.

I wonder how differently priced other Aussie D3 owners have found the A & B Service and if these really are minor & major services? I cannot find any specific Australian guide as to what the A & B service entail.

Why the difference?

Petrol World ..........

I found that at 6 months ; oil/filter/plug grease.
12 months ; add aircon ( that's CON ! ) filter ( if you fall for it ).
18 months ; same as 6
24 months ; same as 12 plus maybe flog you an air filter ( if you fall for it ).
30 months : same as 6
36 months : same as 12 plus brake fluid flush.

The price of parts and labour has nothing to do with any of this. They'll screw you for
whatever they can get . Expect 50 - 100 % parts price increase in a year, as it suits 'em.
Labour is whatever they reckon an area is "good for". $200 , 300 , 400 ,500 . Get it ALL
in writing or you may well be screwed with Engine flush/labour and anything else that
takes their fancy. Good luck.

I use an Indy ; they charge way less and give-a-toss .

I use an independant too as they are Land Rover specialist and been around for a long time. They also support our FWD Club and so I know that if they did not do the right thing, word would get around very quickly and they would be in a bit of trouble.
I also know that when I take the vehicle down there they do everything that needs to be done and I can be confident taking it off road.
I also can talk directly with the owner and the guys who work on the vehicle. Down side is that I cant get a loan car, but then again I can walk down to the garage in about 10 minutes. Very Happy
Take the road less traveled. Dual battery system.ORS drawers,LR cargo Barrier.ARB Bull bar, side protection bars,Mickey Thompson ATR's 17" rims, Rear wheel carrier, radiator guard TPMS Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch LR RAI Steel Rims , GME UHF, Off Road GPS, Llams (yet to be fitted)
