Sh*t bags

I'm currently in France with the family inc our D4.

On Tuesday I reveresed into a wire fence (in spite of reverse sensors), taking paint off the bumper. And today we went to Chinon, parked the car and I came back to find a 4 inch long scratch just above the rear light. I could cry, feel my pain. Big Cry

French have no respect for cars, said with feeling, in France currently, to them it's a mode of transport nothing more.

You have to park accordingly, that said , mines looking a little tired after off-roading so probably gets a wide berth Thumbs Up

After being hit in a UK car park 6 weeks ago, perhaps I need a battered 130 inch Defender?

In 7 years I never had one knock in my D3 but the new one's been repaired 3 times in 5 months. Unlucky or what?

My D4 was immaculate for 3 years until it went in to main dealers for a few weeks (long story covered in other threads). I swapped for an X5 and have needed 3 paint repairs in 12 months plus 2 sets of window trims Big Cry To top it all, the trade in value is now on a par with the D4 that I originally got rid of.

My next car is going to be a Panda 4X4 and I'm going to be the tosser that parks right next to the double bay parkers outside Morrisons. I won't chip doors but I won't give a toss if mine get done either.

Having had my d3 in France and Italy for long periods of time, I was always happy I had a fixed tow bar.... Sure it saved the Censored end a few times- they do love to bump in and out of space....not that a punto or Clio would move a d3......

Was in the car park @ InterMarche last week, very busy - one French guy decided he should be able to walk wherever he liked regardless of the traffic entering and leaving the site and got upset that cars were in his way. Net result, he lashed out with his foot and my poor ol' girl was the recipient of his size 10.

Luckily, only the smallest indication of a dent (he caught it just under the filler cap) and no scratches.

Got a good audience to witness the exchange of profanity in both French and English - all signed off with a good old fashion "b*llocks". Laughing

Back in Blighty now thank goodness. As you say, they literally take no care and have no respect for other people's cars. A good clean and the spray shop beacons, I feel like I've "injured" it which is a stupid way to think about a car!
