Great news that she may, after all, be allowed to remain a British citizen (although subject is more appropriate in a constitutional monarchy).
On another topic - is treason still on the statute books for any British citizen who joins an organisation we're at war with?

What's going to happen:
1) She'll be denied citizenship
2) She'll then claim political asylum

Whoever rubber-stamped the decision to let someone back into the UK despite proven links with a known terrorist organisation should be held 100% accountable for that decision when (not if, *when*) it comes back to bite them on the a few months or years from now.

As a civilised society we are fortunate to have an independent legal system. Whilst we may not like her views and values we must respect the views of the court. If we don’t, then we are no better than the murdering scumbags she went voluntarily went to live with and support.D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

She has not been allowed to come back as if nothing had happened.
The Court of Appeal has only stated that she must be allowed to defend the case and not just remotely from some camp in the Middle East. They have not said she must remain a British citizen, only that she must be allowed correct recourse to the justice system. That is, she must be allowed to come to the UK to present her case.
There's nothing to stop the Govt arresting her as soon as she steps off the plane and keeping her in custody until the case is dealt with. If they win, they can put her on another plane and send her back. If she wins, they can charge her with nefarious acts and present the relevant case to the courts.
If we wish others to be live by the rules of law, we must do so too. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

UK treason laws were heavily adjusted by that nice Mr Blair.
It was of course a complete coincidence that Gordon Brown subsequently signed the Lisbon Treaty which was also, completely coincidently, treason

Any reason why she can't present her case from sovereign British territory?
Ascension Island or perhaps West Falkland, there may be a suitable cattle shed to hold the hearing in.

I'm not 100% up on current privilege in court but I think it runs thus... (I stand to be corrected)
As the case will be presented in either the High Court, Court of Appeal or Supreme court, she as an individual with no legal qualifications, has no rights of audience in these courts and must be represented by a barrister who speaks on her behalf...
Given this I fail to see why her solicitor (and barrister representing her) should not travel to take instructions from their client at her current location... I have had to do this on many occasions as a junior legal exec and never once had a client in a higher court acting on their own.
Or is this approach too simple ?I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

That ruling drives a coach and horses through the Government's ability to strip someone of UK citizenship who is abroad. Now, you appeal and you are going to brought back to the UK to be given a fair and effective hearing.
Then you can claim whatever once 'home'...
Probably not the last we hear of this.
How she will be brought back to the UK remains quite mind boggling.. she can't even get to a phone where she is say the BBC (which kind of makes the point the Judge has ruled I suppose)..
How complex life gets.Jim
