Had them on my 90 for years, mate has also had them on his 90 for a long time, not heard one bad thing about them yet!
I think the 90 ones were more expensive

One of the best upgrades you can do, but I didn't use any Britpart bits, again like you I bought my stuff off Advanced.
Anyone thinking about this upgrade, it's a no brainer.Dale

Update its been roughly a month, and not really surprisingly the callipers have not self destructed
Have to say the greenstuff pads are the dogs whatsits very powerful, std brakes sometimes I thought bloody hell this things not going to stop, they were okay but did not inspire confidence, not thought that once since fitting.
They feel nice on the pedal, then they get progressively better and you can feel the pads get a little heat into them and then grip like you know what to a blanket, there is still loads of reserve travel left on the pedal.
As a treat I washed it, may do it again in another couple of months, maybe

The V8 upgrade really exposes how poor the standard brakes are on a D3. The 1st time the wife drove it when I got it, she asked are the brakes meant to be that bad.
After the upgrade its the only thing she has commented on as being better.

Not being a member on here long, and a D3 owner less.I know we all have different driving styles
speed, braking and the like. but updates like this are great it gives myself and others a fighting
chance from buying rubbish.
I quickly found who the good suppliers are, so together with this information it's great stuff LD
or should that be greenstuff Andy

What are people’s thoughts regarding drilled and grooved discs v’s standard?

V8 Upgrade
Drilled and groved discs offer very little or no benefit over the larger V8 standard disc, the important bit is co-efficient of friction, so the largest surface to surface area is the real key in stopping power, land Rover never produced a model with drilled/grooved discs. TBF the D3's brakes were not fabulous, which is why so many people have done the upgrade.
I personally can vouch for the upgrade, stopping power is hugely improved, and i have only done my front's so far as the rears were new when i bought the car.
