Shocks Ala Baben but local? |
|
Clipped from another mail
"Shocks: Ted from Afrishox explained to me a couple of minutes ago that he can supply ANY Landy with shocks. He uses the Bilstein as the core but can re-port and valve it to suit any application.
A visit to Afrishox will be an eye-opener as the mechanics of a twin-tube (OME), Mono-Tube (Bilstein), gas pressure, valving and porting is revealed. Why a shock bottoms out, and how to prevent it."
If anybody is interested I will make contact with him

Not sure if a plankie could make the same improvements as Spiros but if its at a good price then why not. We can always compare with the "holy grail" if you like

looks like you were typing that last post while driving your vehicle with standard shocks
The upgrade works, but if you don't have the extra 100-200kg at the rear, then you don't need it.
Lets put 4 bags of cement in the back of each of our vehicles and drive over some bumps and watch the difference
