Short roof rails - missing parts?
Morning, finally got around to try to fit some short roof rails to our GS, hate the look without them. Bought some from a local fella who was breaking one.
They came bit incomplete, and without the front gutter trims (he prob couldnt be **sed to get the treenails out lol).
So I cut mine. No dramas.
My question is - the front and rear "feet" look like they should locate somewhere as they have pins. Front ones seem to sit up off the gutter trims, I've masticked those and the rears for now. Any thoughts? Also, should there be spacers underneath the rails?
I have done a google etc but inconclusively, did watch the Powerful youtube vid about changing to extended rails but wasn't much help tbh.
Thanks

From memory that short bit of gutter strip was held down with 3m tape - I don't think it was screwed in anywhere Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

You are in luck, I just bought a set and had it on my counter to clean up. There is a spacer and plastic washer that go below the channel, and another washer above the channel. End end cap is retained into the rail with a small screw.
Hope this helps:

Oh thanks for that - presumably theres a t30/spacer/retaining washer x 3 per rail?
I suspect i may be missing some gasket affair from the front feet too
