Take it back to the dealer and get them to rectify it.

JLR are working on getting smaller shut lines across the whole range.....
are you involved in the manufacturer in sone way at the Liverpool plant ?

Top quality to me certainly isn't the D4, its good but it can be so much better. I expect a car in the price range and also manufacture to make me feel special. I certainly expect a boot to close without having to slam it.
