Ok so the switch took until last weekend to arrive so I went out today and tried to wire it in...……….. no joy
I took a 12v live from the battery to one side of the switch and when I press it the other side is live - result
when I connect it to the FBH nothing happens, I have a WBUS-5 GPS so my pin 4 is green and says input in (button and temp sensor) if I connect to this it doesn't fire the heater, how long do you have to hold the switch for (didn't want to hold it long incase I damage something?)
Anyone know where I connect the 12v live to
Cheers

Without being able to check because I’m not at home at the moment, but I think on the WBUS-5 you connect to ground not to positive like on the WBUS-4.

Without looking at the manual I can’t say. It will be the same wire, like I think I said before you need to look in the manual and will tell you which wire and if positive or earth is needed for your model of controller

Looks like you connect the green wire to ground to make it work. Test it by connecting it to the earth connection of the battery. Only needs connecting for a second to trigger the heater (assuming it’s set for a none latching switch).

I just hope you didn't fry the W-bus, by supplying 12v to a ground...

Thanks guys, I’ll need to see who is running on what network, my phone is on 3 which seems to be the best signal here, but no good for the FBH
I’m on EE and managed decent reception outside your place.

I’ve tried them all Dan and 3 is the most reliable here. Most mobiles only work if I sit in the bedroom window 😱
