Been out taking some pics for the calendar today and now suffering an overload of ones to choose from , but this one is unlikely to make the shortlist, so here it can have its 15 minutes of fame!

Joy of having so many building sites around here, most excellent scrounging to be had. Especially ceiling joists. Kindling's in the dumpy bag.
Only down side is all that wood has to be hauled from Cobham to Grantoon, no more empty cars heading Norf.
Anyone actually given in and lit their log burner this year?
Not at home but we're staying in a cottage in Shropshire and there was a basket of logs in the price so being tight fisted the fires lit and I'm sweating like a gypsy with a mortgageI started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

Yes and the AGA is now lit permanently until spring, now got to suffer the annual ritual of a week of burnt food until HWMBO gets used to it again It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
