Slipping delivery
The delivery on my new D3 keeps slipping. I am now being told early July, because of "factory holidays" in June. Can anyone confirm whether LR have their "annual shutdown" as we call it in June or July.

my order was delayed last year becasue of this same thing, two week factory shutdown was in July though I think,

As DiscoStu has posted above, there is a factory shutdown next week for the Whitsun Holiday.
I don't see how this could effect the delivery date of your vehicle though. Our holidays are well advertised and we tend to keep to roughly the same dates year after year. Your dealer should have known about this and taken the holidays into account when calculating the approximate delivery date of your vehicle.

yes, to be fair I think my scheduled delivery date did include the two week siesta and as it was it came a few days sooner anyway!and theeeeennn......???

Due to this thread, I have just checked with my dealer (Marshalls) and at present the delivery date is still on the system as mid-June. This is to be confirmed at the beginning of the month of delivery. ie first week in June.
She added that the main holiday shutdown does not occur until the end of July.
She also added that cars that were due for next week have arrived this week, showing that they are approx a week ahead of anticipated delivery at present.
I have no reason to disbelieve what she says.
One week or another.... just so long as I get a "good" one!

Ordered my D3 on 20th March and given a 22nd June Delivery. Expecting it on Wednesday 28th Now, Only a week late !!

See message - Factory Problems. All diesel D3's are stuck at the factory as they have a problem with the fuel filler nozzle. This is the reason for the delay not holidays.
