a small glimpse of my first off road experience yesterday
I have put a small clip of our first real off road expereince day with uklandrover events. It was a brilliant day, loads of different challenges . Only total of 6 cars in the convoy 5 defenders and me in the LR3. Started at 0945 and finished at 5pm. The car really handled like a dream. Rock Crawl up a small but very rocky hill and hill descent control was used. I found the best way thought was moving out of automatic gear and forcing the gearbox into first gear and she just went every where. In many cases she outshone the defenders who struggled in some places where the Disoc3 just powered on. I really recommend this type of event if its your first real off road experience. I am going again in the Lakes on the 29th July , hope its sunny. Cant wait.
This is just a short clip of the easy bits,

Glad you had a good day out, I am always a little dubious about these 'tours' where they charge you to drive green lanes that you could do for free but I guess you pay for the organisation, route knowledge etc which does make it easier

yes your right they have loads of expereince and tell ou how to approach each obstacle. Also they have already tested the water crossings etc. You do pay but you get a lot of expereince and I look at it as a training session. At the end of the day i wnet home in my LR3 in one pice with no damage. We were told that just the day before soemone had tipped their defende rover by just approching the obsticle at the wrong angle. These guys really knew there stuffLandrover Discovery 3 TDV6 S 7 seat Automatic
