I need to boost the batteries when parking off (a lot of sun) but my Engel sucks the batteries down.
Anyone out there with ideas on a good system? The National Luna draws down very quickly to a low level, even overnight when set to minimum.
I would consider a third battery (http://www.bushpower.co.za/products.asp?pid=200, suggested at http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic17951.html) ...

Look at www.flexopower.com They have a nice range of solutions although it can be expensive. The National Luna (40l) would need about 50W to run effectively. Flexopower have a rigid solution for 64W (reasonably priced) or a flexible one (55W) which is my ideal but too expensive.
I am dying to get the latter but cannot justify the price.

Just got back from my first trip where I used my solar panel (80 w) in earnest . More than keeps one fridge running indefinitely . I have 2 fridges , but as one is in the car and I tend to drive around a lot , it was fine. The one in the trailer was kept more than happy by the solar panel
