[For Sale] Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXi only 11329 miles
Hi Folks
I am selling on behalf of my mother her car as she has decided to give up driving.
So as a result I have a one not so careful lady driver Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXi for sale with 11329 genuine miles on from new. I say one owner but the car was a pre-reg so is technically a 2 owner car but my mother bought it with 10 miles on.
The car is in sliver and has a full service history and is MOT'ed until August but if this is an issue we can get a full 12 month MOT upon a deposit being paid.
The car has air-con, 5 speed manual box, electric windows and is very clean/unmarked inside. The spare is new and the original tyres are still on the car with loads of tread left (6mm over all tyres) and the alloys are not scuffed or kerbed.
The car is kept in a garage when not in use and wants for nothing.
Now to the not so good bits, someone drove into the passenger door and creased the outer skin and whilst the repair was very good (Tompson Mackay Ltd in Wideopen) the colour match is not good due to the car being metallic silver. You can see this in one of the pics which makes it actually look worse than it is. There are also a couple of scuffs on the front bumper which are in my opinion very minor but I am trying to be honest as I can here.
As for price, its difficult to put a price on it due to the low mileage so how about £3,950 ovno.

What year is it please?
Pity about the door, I'd have taken it back to them. In this day and age they should have got a better match surely?

Hi
It's on a 10 plate and was registered new on 30th June 2010.
The repair on the door was done some 4 years ago and I think has faded less than the rest of the car. I guess a good clean and polish would help and may correct the colour somewhat.
I have to say the pics make the difference to be worse than it actually is but I don't want to mess anyone around so thought it better not to try and hide this "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

It was painted some 4 years ago and was a good match at the time but I think the rest of the car has faded more so it looks poor - as previously said it looks worse in the pics and I think if the car was cleaned and polished it would help
I have to add that the paintwork is reflected in the asking price "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.

Hi The Dundonian
Are you sure you want to buy a new car for someone that has only just passed or about to pass their driving test
Would a low mileage decent secondhand one not be better for at least the first 12 - 18 months "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.

I tend to agree with you, but SWMBO rules in this household.
I'll speak to her again when she finishes work, but she's not normally for changing her mind.

For all those that have passed comment on the difference in colour, here is a pic taken today from a different angle and you can hardly notice the difference
"UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.
