Sound Horn when locking vehicle with door/boot open
Previously with my D3s the horn sounded a beep when I tried locking the vehicle while one of the doors or boot was open. Now on my D4 there is a weak ineffectially faint electronic ping - which can't be heard more than a few feet from away - which is no use if you've moved away and turn back to check that you've locked up properly.
Is there some way I can activate some setting somewhere that sounds the horn instead of the electronic ping ?

Noticed the same. Our boot (top half) sometimes bounces and we dont notice.
Leaves the lights on and runs the battery down.......D4 HSE - Aintree Green

I think they still do even if the tailgate is open and do you really look at that every time you lock it? I have done the same, its not till you get in and the warning stays up that you notice sometimes.Joined the BMWX5 45e group
