Spacers

I am considering buying 30mm spacers for my 2012 D4 with 19" wheels but before I commit I'd like to check if access mode is fully useable with these installed? I use access mode in car parks at times and am concerned that there may be some rubbing at full lock with spacers installed?

Thanks

Borrow a set of spacers and try?

I have 30mm spacers and have never noticed a problem. Have 19 inch wheels and standard tyres. Will have a look in the morning. Pretty sure it won’t be a problem.

Thumbs Up

Just did a 3 point turn in access mode - no rubbing.

Not a great picture but definite gap with 255/55/19 Continentals.

Thumbs Up

What torque do you use on the bolts holding the spacers to the hub. Not a lot of metal under the bolt heads.

I’ve run spacers and adaptors on a few cars over the years, always used the standard torque settings for both the spacer to hub and wheel to spacer and never had an issue. I’ve just picked up a D3 on Range Rover 21’s and that has spacers, no rubbing in access or any mode with 275 45 21 tyres.

Forgive my ignorance, what's the point of spacers with standard wheels?

I didn’t think spacers would be required due to the offset for the 21’s but they were fitted and I like the look Thumbs Up
