SPAIN, takes great care of his pieces of ancient art!
I laugh, but I'm afraid I should really start crying!
I do not know if in your day you heard about a small religious painting in a town in Zaragoza, Spain, that an old lady decided to restore and ended up being a national shame to eventually become the salvation of her small town by attracting crowds to the place, it was known as Ecce homo de Borja.
Well, something similar has happened again in Spain. A carving from the medieval period dedicated to Saint George, in the town of Estella Navarra, has gone from this to this!
, for another wrong and untrustworthy restoration that has again become a source of joking and indignation. It reminds me of all this to the old remedy that we saw in the movie, at the hands of Mr. Bean, with the Whistler's mother restauration!
