Stratstone parts department's sold all of their over aged stock to Craddocks, these wheel covers were supposed to be put on all Disco 3's and RRS as advertising, but apparently Sales wouldn't pay for them
I got one on my 1st Disco 3 But not the second as it came with a space saver!

Hi DD,
I bought mine from 4x4 Intelligence in Melbourne Australia, but I suspect that it is a FrontRunner (SA) unit. You should have suppliers in UK.
One of the advantages of this unit is that you can remove it for storage and blank off the hole in the bumper, making it a very neat unit.
Best Wishes,

Yes mine came witha Stratstones sticker on it too, no doubt why it was cheaper. Came off easy enough with a hair dryer then a bit of white spirit to remove the remainder of the glue. Happy to clean it with the cost saving!Tonga Green TDV6 S

Hi DD,
That's a common problem with the "weaker sex". That's why the removable feature is such a positive as it means that the carrier need only be in position when you either need the spare out from under the D3, or when you want a 2nd spare.

Re: spare covered
[quote="Dickydisco"]bought one of these to keep my spare clean.
Thanks for putting this on, think I'll get one.
Tell me though - why does it have that piece/lip formed onto it? The one with the sticker on?
I got out my spare last summer amd don't remember it having a growth on the tyre!

Actually the extra piece is there to make the plastic more stable at speeds. I got one of the flat ones from a Ebay site, and it sounded like a drum beating when driving.
The allowed me to return my flat one for this
No noise now

Thats not what question was about - it was what the extra plastic bit was for (not the shape) and it is for advertising.
By the way I have the other shape and it is stable and there is no extra noise.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold
