I've got one fitted to my D3 (along with a RLD spare wheel protector), also added a DISCO3.CO.UK sticker to it. The spare does still get slightly dirty, I clean the cover/wheel inside out every 6 months or so, but on the other hand it will not be as easy for the spare to be stolen!

thinking of getting the disco3 sticker for there but I have an adjustable towbar and you can hardly see the cover lip where you put the sticker.
PS looks good btwCurrent: D3 commercial

I had one of these, was quite impressed until I changed to the spare wheel one day. If you do any off roading, the muddy water gets trapped inside the cover then the water filters out through the side material leaving the sludge behind. Repeat this several times, you get the picture.
Then going through the deep water at Boughrood last March, the cover must have completely filled with water. Once out of the pond the cover couldn't take the weight of water and it snapped in half.
Maybe not what you wanted to hear but IMHO, a bit of a waste of money. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

There's always the danger of getting sucked off in a bog 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
I'm forever the optimist that that will happen to me one day Rich The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

i guess for the off roading it needs to be removed, then I spose there is no point. I think I'll leave it on to stop road grime while we are in winter, may stop a little of the salt killing the wheel. Cheers for the views though guys.Current: D3 commercial

IIRC, LR say to remove the spare wheel from under the car before going off-road. This sounds like a wise precaution to me.

Pete, I think you are bang right. If I was doing anything serious I guess I would think about takin the wheel off. Only prob then is where do you carry it? It's not really good to have it floatin around inside the car unless of course you tie it down but with all recovery and other kit you may be carrying you'd soon run out of space. Looks like the swing away wheel holder now looking very appealing.Current: D3 commercial

Mine came in the other day, looks ok (not on the wheel yet).
Same auction site source, was very surprised to find a www<dot>str@tstones<dot>com sticker on it though
Will obviously be replacing with a forum sticker, but the existing one is a pain to take off
