OK DG, i knew there would be a reason out there somewhere,

if you need another suggestion then this is an option

dismantle the unit, take out the wire and slip a 4" long piece of 3/4" steel pipe on the cable just above the end which meets the spare wheel/plate. this should do the trick If in doubt............flat out.
