The spare wheel winder tension

Changing my old space saver spare for a full sized wheel today, The replacement wheel now in place but the winder seems to go on forever!! With fear of over stretching the cable the wheel seems pretty tight in place but does the winder actually get tight when it’s up to where it should to give you indication that it’s where it should be ? Or is it ok when it feels ok underneath? As mentioned don’t want to over do it and stretch the cable Rolling Eyes

It is designed to click when it's fully tight so you can't over tighten it (like the fuel filler cap and coolant filler cap do but at a much higher torque).

So long as the wheel in place in the spare wheel well won't twist you should be fine... check it in warm weather/place too. If it will twist then some low life can twist it and fray the wire and have the wheel. Or get an RLD protector on here...

Well I’ve wound this up till I’m blue in the face and no tighter or any clicks just constantly turning but seems in place, Just hoping it’s secure,

Obviously you reached the click stage with silent clicks Laughing
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
