Special Programmes Off

Good afternoon.

On a drive yesterday and during overtaking.... the Disco went into Limp Home... with “Special Programmes Off” flashing up on the dash.

I pulled over.... switch off and on them all was fine. Drove for another 4 hours with no issue... any ideas?? 🙄🤔

Should I be concerned?? 🙄🙄🙄

It would be prudent to have the codes read if only to confirm. If you had a filter change in the not too distant past then its unlikely to be the problem (unless of course it has a non genuine filter fitted)!

my first D4 did it 5 mins into trip to Italy ... couldn't pull up for about 20 mins due to roadworks but by that time my youngest had googled it ... advice was switch off for a couple of mins and restart. never repeated. Smile

Had the same last week. Switched off and it cleared and has not come back. Just went into limp mode no bongs. Suspect battery is on the way out!

from memory when the battery is starting to go iffy you start to get the low power message on the stereo when you go to adjust the volume .

it might be a red herring but that was my earliest symptom then 2 months later alternator went bang and killed the battery
