I see you're a "what if" kinda guy
Is the glass half empty or half full?
We look at all safety issues including tyres, brakes and suspension
Disco 3 tyres are rated as "V" which equates to 240 km/h or 149 mp/h so you'll be no where near the max rated speed in your disco3...standard or chipped
Hope this explains what you wanted to know
Speed symbol Max km/h Max mp/h
on tyre
N 140 87
P 150 93
Q 160 99

Isn't this why the RRS SC is limited as it is capable of out performing the tyres?

Possibly but usually the manufacturer will 'overspec' the tyres to meet the maximum possible vehicle speed.
Personally 100 mph in a Disco3 is as fast enough but you can never have too much power Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Guys I have done this all before.
The 18" tyres for instance are V rated at up to 150 mph.
Rating Miles Per Hour
P Up to 93 mph
Q Up to 99 mph
T Up to 118 mph
H Up to 130 mph
V Up to 150 mph (240kph)
Z Over 150 mph
NR Up to 87 mph
SR Up to 112 mph
WR Up to 169 mph
If you have the need to exceed that, go for Z rating.
The 112 on the tyre is its weight capacity.

Can the computer at my dealer read your update? If so how do I disable before I visit them?
Also who does your work far away from London?

No the dealer cannot read any of our updates as we make the new software appear as totally original.
Tell me where you live and I'll get the local TC dealer to call you Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Sorry - just read your website and see you have two Scottish reps.
I know its not about 0-60 and 30-70 times and top speed but can you give any idea of the quantum of performance change for a manual car?
Thanks

I am driving a manual disco3 myself.....the car is just much smoother and more responsive. The performance gains are considerable with the 0-60 time down to 9.5 seconds!!
For a 2.7 tonne car this is pretty impressive!!
Fuel economy has also improved by approximately 4 mpg overall Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

I'm looking for the downside - what do you charge to remove the upgrade when I sell the car?
I presume therefore that the dealer can only tell if a car is upgraded when the mechanic takes it for a spin?
How are the clutch, gearbox and brakes holding up on the car you are driving?
