Speed Limit Removal Disco3 TDV6 engines
Just to let members know we can now remove the speed limiter on all TDV6 engines. We have developed this modification purely for the German market

It is NOT rev limit removal but merely removal of the road speed km/h limit.

Well in an unchiped D3 my GPS in Germany (before I fried it) was showing we were doing 108 on the Autobahn (Indicated 115). I got told to slow down then... Coffeecup

I never realised it was limited, what is it limited to? If I get my engine chipped, will you remove the limit as part of the upgrade?

It's limited to 115mph
We can remove the speed limiter during the upgrade process and we charge an additional fee for doing so as it involves overcoming some extra security measures in the ecu.

Please don't tell Mrs Coffeecup that we were actually doing the 115 mph that the Speedo said we were doing as the limiter kicked in. I told her there was a margin of error/inaccuracy on Speedos and that there was no way we were going that fast. Not sure she actually believed me as she asked me ever so nicely not to do it any longer and keep the needle the lower side of 100 from now on. Coffeecup

the coding is double dutch to me, but my point was, is the chipped mod exceeding the potential of the tyres.. Don't know either way, but no one seems to have taken this into consideration .. ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........
