I hate speed cameras as the next person and I would be upset too, but:

She got a fine too : 2KM's to fast doing 132 instead of 130. The difference is the width of the needle ;€ 40,- fine !

The fixed cameras are programmed to apply a tolerance margin of 5 km/hour for speeds up to 100 km/h and 5% for speeds over 100 km/hour. For mobile cameras, the tolerance limit is double, 10 km/hour and 10% respectively. In any case, the tolerance margin is only applied to readings up to 20 km/h above the speed limit. For higher speeds, the reading is applied with no tolerance margin.

Going with the best scenario(fixed camera) adding the 5% tolerance gives a speed on 139, given that most cars show higher speed (up to 10%) she was might have been driving at an indicated speed between 139 and 155.

I can follow your reasoning. But you don't know my daughter ; she's terrified of speed and I always have to tell not to drive slower as 10km below the maximum... She tends to drive 30 inside town even if its not a 30km/h zone... Rolling Eyes

And my in my case, I realised that its 90km/h before the sign "La Brousse" , and the location of measurement about 150m beyond it. So even if you spot the sign 50m before ánd start braking immediately [ then you are 25m further in 1 sec..] , you have 175m to slow down from 25m/s to 15 m/s.
Thats serious braking, not normal for a 'non emergency' situation. This was no measurement, but entrapment ! The fact they clocked me at 55km/h indicates that I WAS SLOWING DOWN !
I seriously consider to appeal on these grounds.

In my case it wasn't any camera but a lasergun...

Tell them when their fellow countrymen pay the fines to the English treasury you’ll pay yours, & ask for the calibration certificate

a 20€ in Germany

I just received 20€ fine from September return back from visit to UK.

as I drive a company car it went to lease company which deal with the case and pass on the cost to the company, who then deduct from next payslip. no points on the license.

but in my apology to the company as I was slowing down on Autobahn as the speed zone changed and I was expecting fine (hoping not) as it was a very large flash from camera (I can see at night that could be dangerous )

the reply was it's not the biggest they have seen (105kmin 100km zone), in France one person received 90€ for 51km in 50km zone .
Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

I'll seriously have to pay attention next time I go though … got flashed by a machine in 2016 going many KM's over the limit, but no paperwork ever came.

We have 2 vehicles my D4 and her Freelander on French plates,
fortunately I have not been done.

but to have 2 speeding tickets with a total offence of 4kph!combined seems harsh.
she makes Captain slow seem quick
