Ok strange one this:
Now we have winter returning, I've noticed that I've an issue on my speedometer dial - the dial hand (needle??) does not light up when the lights are on - everything else does, including the rev counter hand; but it means I cannot read my speed whilst driving at night.
Any ideas??

ISTR that there are some small LEDS on the cluster. (might be wrong though).. might be there is a break in the solder to one of those... otherwise have you tried turning the illumination up to full to see if that helps as a work around ? I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Yes tried turning up illumination - made no difference! 3 x TD5s + 2 x D3s; now upgraded to a D4 after a 3 month flirt with a VW Toerag...

scroll through your setting on the stalk and instead of showing average fuel or trip mileage have it set on speedo, that way you will know how fast your going
