Split charge - tmax still the one ? |
|
Hi all
What split charge are people recommending these days? Is it still the Tmax?
It’s actually for my 300tdi…
I like to see what’s going on which draws me to the tmax?

Any basic VSR is suitable for a TDI vehicle.

I have always used National Luna. I have one installed in my D3, and have recently bought one to install in my 2.4 110 PUMA. I think they all do much of the same thing.

T Max is great. You can look at the state of charge and link both batteries at the push of a button. I think it's really good value for what it does and see no need to spend more. I've had a simple VSR set up in one of my D3s but the Max trumps it. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

I went for the Duritc VSR.
Does the job nicely for me.
The Renogy solar panel I fitted to the roof of the D4 tops up the Optima YT, when that's done the Duritc VSR then switches over for the solar panel to top up the main battery.
Happy enough with that.
