stuck a "sport exhaust" on my car.

sounds a hoot... until you have to live with it.

Now I want to shut it up. Anyone know how this can be achieved? I don't mind a little more audible driving accompaniment than standard but what I have is just stupid. I am actually putting off a 600 mile round trip until I can borrow something else.

Can additional silencers be installed? There are some in the current Larini system but nothing anywhere near as substantial and the half ton of ironmongery that was removed. Most obvious is the complete absence of any "back box" - just mid silencer and then tail pipes.

i'm with slimer on this one?

did you not realise how loud this would be?

from what i know you can't do anything to the set up you have unless a specialist S/S exhaust company could cut and shut a new piece in
 If in doubt............flat out.

Followed a Maser 3200GT with Larini pipes once. Thought I was being machine gunned.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Original exhaust is an option... but I had it chopped into 3 pieces to make it easier to store. The damn thing comes in one giant piece. Takes two to carry it and is 4ft by 8ft.

So if I knew a handy welder then that is a possibility. But I think the dosh would be better spent on moddifying the stainless one.

it depends if you know how to fit it properly as to whether we will be laughing or not, file the corks and wet them before inserting for best fit. Wink or risk it falling out!

Oh and Denis Wick mutes are popular and cheap for the masses, JoRal mutes are the dogs for informed brass players Whistle Thumbs Up
