sport-mode and EGR valv!

Somebody here with lots of Disco-3 knowledge, recommended this if the EGR valve started to play up and going into emergency, etc!
He recommended to switch to S-mode and then do some other actions but I cant remember what more he wrote??

anybody knows who this was? or what he wrote??...( be damned if I remember who it was)
