Hiya

Many thks for the message , very helpful Thumbs Up

So took some pics of the loom connectors just in case it also helps someone else

Plus it was bugging me so went out side , started the engine and turned all the lights on , put a tester into F19 and got voltage

So it was a right result , connector was tucked right at the back of the wires, like u said with it being hidden , indeed ref that connector at the back of the CJB , so now having the connector inside the fuse box am over the moon won’t have to mess around with that CJB connector

at least that’s one major hurdle out the way , thks a million as always for the awesome help

Next bits will be , repair to the A bar , front bumper and wings off , replacing with D4 xenons /D4 wings , but can’t even attempt that lot at the moment

Should be able to do the A bar repair if I lay it on my desk and sit down

Sorry I’m rambling again , lol , Thks so much once again

thks so much once again Thumbs Up

So after a lot of messing around I finally got my carling halo switch, along with having the symbols engraved on the rocker switch, backlighting is green to match the rest of the cabin lights , plus got the switch connector and pins

Fits perfectly in place of the sunroof switch, but will make a final decision later on after I’ve got the complete wiring loom fitted , that may also determine its position due to length of wires

Thks again and wished to quickly update this , hope it’s of interest , yeh i know , I need to get out more spending so much time over just a switch Laughing

Brilliant as my new door switch also turned up , did get a genuine one this time to replace the cheap junk that’s in there now

Plus don’t think it was to bad as this switch with vat and delivery was £90 , later ones after 2007 are some £30 x 40 more expensive

Hopefully I’ll be able to fit the new switch without having to remove the door card

So along with my door weather strips, external A trims and this switch I’m hoping I’ll be able to get it fitted as soon as possible

The window switch is easily replaced without removing the door card

I used plastic trim removal tools when I did mine a while back
 I see no ships........

Apologises as should have listed the part number, this is up to 2006/ Vin 6A , 2007 / Vin 7A onwards is a different part number , maybe the later ones have a slightly different design

So after some searching finally found a trim removal kit, alas many came with clips, or connector pin removal tools that I didn’t need , fingers crossed will make life easier

Thks again

It looks like a very comprehensive kit, the only bit I'd add, if not already got, would be a mini pry type screwdriver.

I’d second that, the pri bar helps with the 2 part clips on the wheel arches etc.

I’ve got this kit, works well

As always im so grateful for the fantastic help , thank u so much Bow down

Alas did order that kit , plus hopefully this isn’t boring but these are most of the pliers etc I’ve got since owning the disco, also got some pliers which I found very useful for removing those plastic wheel arch double clips , also some headlight lens removal tools , found the slim nozzle very good seeing I’ve not got a cooker , thought the microwave might go ping at the same time as the headlight Laughing

Plus headlight tools very useful removing old silicone around baths, tiles etc as they cut into the silicone , got some xenon D4 headlights to upgrade my halogen D3 lights , did notice the D4 xenon a lot harder to remove

Once they arrive I’ll have to see which plastic tool is the best to remove the drivers window switch

Also very curious of what the difference is from 2007 onwards , currently I only have 1 x press open/ close on my drivers window , wonder if the later switches have that feature on the passenger side as well

If there are any pliers ur interested in can find the link for u , of course know it’s an overkill but just made my life so much easier including pliers for hoses, small hooks for removing electrical connections by pushing in the small tabs

Dam, I’m waffling as per usual, sorry about that Whistle

Thks again and hope this may be useful

Plastic trim clip pliers

Water hose clip pliers , mainly for hard to reach areas

Various water hose clip removal pliers

Various picks to help removing electrical connector by pushing in the tabs

Left - car door panel pliers, right - aid the removal of silicone - adhesive as the cutters are blades to aid removal

🤣 looks like you've got it covered tgere! Some I can figure out but if someone sees this post out of context they might think you had bought up a closing down sake at a torture chamber! Can you let us know what does what? I've got the long nise pliers, the fuel line pliers and a trim kit, but it'd be handy to know what the rest do!
