St. Johann on Hogmanay
A little late but Happy New Year all!
At St. Johann in Tirol on Hogmanay (or Silvester, as we call it here), I saw this D3 in the chairlift company's private car-park (with the Kitzbüheler Horn in the background).
Actually, I think I have seen in previous years that the Kitzbühel lift company had Range Rovers with numbers like KB-LIFT 1. Obviously, they're moving on to better things now
And in the ordinary car-park I saw another three D3s (one eastern European)as well as my own.
Skiing conditions weren't great, with really only the one piste under the cable-car open. However, the weather was good. Anyone coming over this way to ski shouldn't be put off, though. There are enough runs around, it just isn't as good as usual. Mind you, the picture below gives a new meaning to 'The Green, Green Hills of Tyrol' (the mountains are the Wilder Kaiser).
