Steering: how many turns lock to lock

I have recently discovered problems with stiff and heavy steering, someone replaced the lower wishbones but didn't retrack properly, that has been corrected.

what is the normal number of turns of the steering wheel from central to either left or right??

I can only get 1.5 turns!!!
