Hi folks!
I have 2007. D3 SE with a normal stereo system. Also, I own an HSE without a motor that I use for parts. My question is it doable to upgrade my regular sound system from SE to the better one from the HSE?
It is easy to replace the door panels and membranes, the thing that concerns me is the wire harness already set in place or do I have to take the ones from the HSE (which can be pretty darn complicated). For example, I wanted to take the aux module form the back of the central console but it turns out that I don't have wires for that in my SE, so I decided to connect the aux in the back of the stereo.
Let's say I take out the set from the HSE like this one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-disc...505129782, can I just plug and play it or do I have to make some software update or take out also the stereo unit from the HSE?

I don’t think it will be easy.
You will have to do some spot check to see if wirung present.

If I had the low line, I would just upgrade it with a modern 2DIN player, with all the oportunities that gives u.
Instead of the big job with moving everything over.
Wish I had the low line stereo myselfe though. D3, MY06

The se and hse both use the most circuit which head unit is in the se if it is the six disc unit it would not be as hard to do but still a lot but others have done it but also as said a lot of work for a few extra speakers  Discovery 3 se gone
