Stiff Gear Stick

Hi All

I've got a 07 SE model and have noticed that my gear lever has stiffened up. When going from Park to Drive it just feels a lot stiffer.

Anyone had this before?

Car is booked in tomorrow. Spoke to man in service department and he says this is quite common. Something to do with the gear shift pivet or something. A heads up before i go in would be nice.

Yes, it's a part that either wears which they replace, or just teh nut being loose. Not 'common' among all D3's, but it is a known faults. Should be able to fix under warranty withoiut too much hassle Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Mine started off like that, but then I found that it wouldn't go in to gear when pulling out at junctions immediately.

Is this all part of the same problem?

Booked in next Monday.......

Never had any problems with mine when in gear just stiff getting it in to drive. Got it fixed at the dealers today in a couple of hours on warranty with no fuss. Gear shift spot on again. Thumbs Up It's better to burn out than to fade away.
