Still no build slot after a month old order
With a friend we've ordered two D4 around mid-March.
At an official LR/Jaguar dealer near Brussels(Belgium).
The dealer had to give us the planned delivery date, a couple of days later.
We didn't get any information so far.
The dealer blame the factory.
And a brave "We are victim of our success" is the excuse.
Any similar stories?
Or any advice to help us clarify this, or speed up the procedure?
Thanks,

ad15, the road signs in Belgium are not poor.
They are just not placed on the same side of the street as you are used to

I ordered a D4 on 14th April in Germany. The Time of delivery is specified of Sept./Oct.
The dealer reckons, in summer LR have company holidays.

Count yourself lucky I ordered my downunder in September of last year and still waiting. Because I wanted the cameras it has been put back three times.
Getting quite off with it all.
But there is no other 4x4 (owned 8 LR so far) I would want to buy and I tend to be picky about options.
It will end up being 9months for order to new car.

I guess my question generated the same kind of reactions as the reliability.
Only people with a problem complain, while all the happy ones stay silent.
Seems to be an isolated problem then.
Thanks all,
looks like a common problem this side of the water.
The dealer here has been saying there are build delays partly due to a recent supply problem with engines and gear boxes.
LR Luxembourg have had serious delivery issues - leading to long delays; cancelled orders etc....and one member on here getting an RRS TDV8 instead of the RRS TDV6 he ordered (but for no difference in cost...)The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeksnearly 4 weeksover 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

The delivery is finally set for the 14th of September... this is a 6 months delay
This is almost the double of what was sold to me.
Plus, the poor way the dealer handled these orders doesn't give me a lot of confidence in them for a future relationship.
My friend, who ordered at the same time, will get his 2.7 TDV6 for mid july.
Now, if someone could clarify the mystery around the MY2011, that would help me enjoy some local beer and chocolate while waiting this additional 3 months...

I'm sorry to hear your news but I'm not surprised. It appears that Land Rover cannot build them fast enough at the moment. It must be very hard for the dealers ... they must fear that honest advice of 4 to 6 month delivery instead of 3 month will cause customers to buy from another manufacturer. I would prefer the dealer to be honest and then I can plan my car ownership accordingly. I would still buy the Land Rover.
When it arrives, will you drive it offroad? We would welcome more friends in these parts.
