Car is either hidden close by to see if you have a tracker on it. Or long gone. I'd say out of the country but with the Brexit effect at the docks, maybe not yet..

Sorry to hear that Shaun.
It's a right royal PITA but hopefully insurance will get you back up and running very quickly.
My MY2012 XS was stolen in the Spring, insurance replaced it with MY2014 HSE (with added tracker and Stoplock) but I still hanker after the 2012XS. I'm almost back to where I was with the XS, maintenance and reliability wise and having to replace all the odds and sods that went with the car.
Chin up....D1 300Tdi - gone
D2 Td5 ES (Alive remapped...mmm) - sadly gone
D4 2012 SDV6 XS - Stolen
D4 2014 SDV6 HSE - Shiny

Probably not at that age ….either broken down for the spares market or more often than not rung on to the identity of an earlier car…there are so many identities of salvage D3’s and D4’s available because of engine failure. More often than not these are sold by private individuals and as such don’t have any salvage marker placed upon them.
The donor car is bought by the criminals and broken for spares but the identity of this car is then placed on the stolen D4.. ordinarily on most cars the difference in vehicle age is quite obvious however think how many D3’s are upgraded to look like D4’s.
I’ve seen loads of adverts advertising a supposedly D3 which has been updated to D4 spec…. But in reality it is a stolen D4 given the identity of a salvaged D3.

Thanks chaps. It was actually my brother's. Nice looking, low mileage D4.
I hope something nasty befalls the scumbags.

As Hardware has said it will be parked up in an area where it would not look out of place for a couple of days in case it’s got a tracker. It will be on false plates by now but it’s certainly worth driving around the nice streets and ncp car parks nearby.
